These are key questions:   Does it happen often or regularly? Is it happening right now? Did it happen yesterday, last week, etc.? Has it happened many times? Had it happened before ...? Will it (have to) happen some time in the future? Preposition + ingform?

1	walk	Peter said that the burglar had ***** around the house several times.
2	sit	John was still ***** at his desk when I left.
3	be	He kept telling me that he had ***** back to the crime scene twice.

5	see	I am extremely tired of ***** you here every day.
