Clozes
You can create six different kinds of clozes with ClozeMaker. Read the short information about them below, and then just click |1|2|3|4|5|6| in the menu above to see examples. By doing the clozes hands-on you will not only see what they go for, but by the end of your tour you will also have learnt how to create them!
Type 1 |
A standard cloze. You paste
a text, select words for gaps, and that's it. Done!
The student has to write the correct word in
the gap, and no other word than the originl one is accepted. An
old-fashioned (boring) cloze. |
Type 2 |
The same easy procedure. The
system saves the first letter of every word to support/limit the student's
choice. |
Type 3 |
The same easy procedure.
Here the student gets the number of letters for every word, which also
restricts her choices. |
Type 4 |
Almost the same easy
procedure, but (as this is a multiple-choice variant with three
alternatives) you also have to add two (2) distractors. |
Type 5 |
Almost the same easy
procedure, but as this type of cloze is meant to allow for a number of
"correct" answers, you need to be a bit creative. Creating really good
clozes of this type generally involve a bit of testing and some team work. |
Type 6 |
Almost the same easy procedure. In this cloze, the student drag-and-drops words from a list into the gaps. You make the gaps just as easily as for the other types, and the words are automatically listed. Then, if you like, you can add a few extra words to the list. |
