<< BACKTeacher's role
Being a teacher is quite simple! You only have to be a few persons in one:
mum dad sister brother friend psychologist psychiatrist expert pedagogue tutor counsellor organizer tourist guide cleaner writer proof-reader security officer switchboard operator messenger punch bag
Don't expect your teacher to be all that!
Regard your teacher as the person who is there to guide you towards knowledge, skills, and learner autonomy.
Regard your teacher as your dialogue partner.
Teachers are professionals
Teachers are usually very professional and dedicated people. Their professional skills should never be reduced to providing information or serving as a caretaker.
The role of teaching is to provide optimal learning opportunities, and to support your work in a professional way.
Teachers usually realize that learning takes place in the head of the learner. Knowledge can not be transfused from the brain of the teacher to the brain of the learner.
Your teacher's professionalism will help you and your classmates build a creative learning environment.
Your experienced teacher will guide you through your studies, serve as your tutor, and respect your person. In doing so she will help you to
analyze the goals set your personal goals plan your work follow up on your progress She will also
be a model be a catalyst give feedback
