<< BACKLearner's role
As one of the overall goals of education is learner autonomy, it is important that both teachers and students know how to share and split work and responsibilities between them.
Learner autonomy is sometimes misunderstood, and teachers simply leave their students to themselves. Learner autonomy requires a lot of training, and a lot of understanding on the part of the teacher. It is like getting through the eye of a needle.
The golden rule is that when the learner needs teacher support she should get it, but she should never get more than she really needs.
It is your duty as a student to co-operate with your teachers and with your classmates. You must understand understand the importance of dialogue.
