How many words?
How many words does the average EFL high school student learn in a school year?100 - 1,500 (?)
This seems to vary a great deal. 25 words per week during 40 weeks makes 1,000. If you take the average score among Swedish first-year university students, which is 5,500, and consider the fact that they have learnt English at school for ten years, you arrive at 550 words per year.
